The PIERRE CARDIN ROADSHOW part 4- the Westwind Jet

By far the most exclusive, and certainly most expensive of the Cardin customized vehicles the twin engine Westwind Jet was prepared by Pierre in 1978.

At 2.3 million dollars base price, plus the additional cost of the custom Cardin interior and exterior stripes, of all the Cardin vehicles this little jet will certainly take the biggest bite out of your checkbook.

With a top speed of over 500 miles per hour, and an altitude of 45000 feet, you will certainly get there ahead of any of the others.  0-100 kph probably takes just a couple seconds!

The designs...

Cardin not only signed the exterior of the Jet, but also created the red, black & silver stripe pattern for the fuselage & tail.  Created for Atlantic Aviation, the Cardin Westwind Jet is probably his most involved project of all the vehicles he worked on.

The interior of the eight passenger jet includes a directors seat, 4 passenger living room, 3-seat bench, and optional bar, all with Cardin's personal touch.

Literally your office-away-from-office wherever you need to fly, this personalized jet takes first prize amongst the Cardin creations, at least in my eyes.

It is unknown how many Cardin Westwinds were sold, or even created, but there was at least one! If still in existence, it may be the rarest of all themodes of Cardin Transportation.  and di you know he also had a hand in designing custom Televisions and furniture, and even a moped!!! ... but that's a story for another time.  so...

... we hope you enjoyed this little side trip on the Cardin Roadshow!
